Training in Perform has three layers. Each one builds on the one before it.

How the pieces connect

  1. You keep the Exercise library tidy: names, muscles, equipment and a demo video for each exercise.
  2. You build a program in the program builder. A program has training days. Each day has exercises with sets, reps and rest.
  3. You assign the program to one trainee or to many. Each trainee gets a personal copy.
  4. You can then edit one trainee’s copy without touching the template or anyone else’s plan.
  5. The trainee follows the plan in the app, logs sets and sends technique videos when you ask for them.
A trainee plan is a copy. Changing a program template later does not change plans you already assigned. To change what a trainee sees, edit that trainee’s plan.

Three ways to create a program

  • Build it yourself. Open Workout management and choose New program inside a folder or under Unfiled. See Build a program.
  • Import it. Choose Add training program, paste text or upload a photo or PDF, and review what the assistant found. See Import a plan.
  • Use a file or a link. Choose PDF or link plan when you already have the program as a PDF or on a website. See PDF and link plans.
Nutrition plans work the same way and share the same assign and edit screens. See Nutrition overview.
