Personal records

The app keeps one record per exercise: the heaviest weight the trainee has lifted on it.

The rule

A set becomes a new personal record when both of these are true:
  1. It is heavier than the current record. The weight must be higher than the record weight for that exercise.
  2. Enough reps were done. The trainee did at least 80 percent of the reps you prescribed for that set. With a prescription of 10 reps, 8 or more count. A heavier weight lifted for only a few reps does not count.
For exercises done with no weight, such as bodyweight exercises, the record is the highest number of reps. Sets that are not ticked never count.

Where records show

  • During a workout. The moment a record set is ticked, the row is highlighted, confetti plays and the app shows 🎉 New PR! with the weight and reps. Unticking the set removes the mark.
  • After the workout. The share screen has two record designs, New PR! and PR (private). See Sharing a workout.
  • On the Progress screen. Personal records lists the trainee’s records. Until there are any it reads Complete workouts to see your records here. Progress opens from Profile with My progress.
Two record sets on the same exercise in one workout count as one new record for that exercise.
A swapped exercise has its own record. Beating a record on a substitute does not change the record of the exercise from the plan.

Workout history

Finished workouts are listed under Workout history at the bottom of the Workouts tab, newest first.

Opening a past workout

Tapping a row opens the workout as it was logged:
  • the workout name, the number of sets and the total weight lifted,
  • each exercise with its sets, shown as Set 1, Set 2 and so on, with the weight and reps, for example 60 kg × 10,
  • the RIR for a set, when one was given.
A workout marked done from a PDF plan has no sets and reads No sets were logged in this workout.

Create a workout photo

Create a workout photo on a past workout opens the share screen for that workout, so the trainee can make a story image later and not only right after finishing.

Deleting a workout

Delete workout on the detail screen, or the trash icon in the list, asks Delete this workout? with It comes off your history. After confirming the app shows Workout deleted. Deleting a workout removes it from the weekly count, the streak and the trainee’s history on your side as well. It cannot be undone from the app.

The streak

The Workout streak card on the Progress screen counts days in a row with at least one finished workout. It also shows the trainee’s best streak. A workout marked done from a PDF plan counts toward the streak.
