The Food library holds every food you can put in a nutrition plan. It is also what trainees search when they log a meal, and what the shopping recommendations are built from. Open Nutrition management in the menu, then choose Food library.

Three kinds of foods

Each food carries a badge that tells you where it comes from. Other badges you may see:
  • Created by AI: the food was created during a plan import.
  • Missing values: an imported food whose calories and macros were not in the source document. Fill them in before you rely on it.
  • Estimated: the values are an estimate.

The list

What the list shows depends on whether your studio uses calories or portions.
Columns: Food name, Category, Calories, Protein, Carbs and Fat, then Actions. Under the name you see what the values refer to, for example “per 100 g”.Filter with the category pills: All, Proteins, Carbs, Vegetables, Fruits, Fats, Dairy and Beverages.
In both modes, Search food searches by name and the list is split into pages.

Add a food

1

Open the form

Choose New food.
2

Fill it in

Give it a Name. Brand and English name are optional. The rest of the form depends on your studio’s mode. See The food editor.
3

Save

Choose Save. You see Food added successfully.
A food with no name cannot be saved. You see Please enter a food name.

Edit a system food

You can edit any food, including system foods.
1

Open the food

Choose Edit on the row.
2

Change it

Change the name, category, serving, calories, macros or any other field.
3

Save

Choose Save. The badge changes from System to Edited system.
What happens behind this:
  • Your change is stored for your studio only. Other studios keep the original, and the shared food is never changed.
  • The food keeps its identity. Every plan that already uses it, every shopping list and the trainee app show your version from now on. Nothing has to be reassigned.
  • If you change the values back to exactly what the original had, the food stops being marked as edited.

Restore a system food

Open an Edited system food and choose Restore to default at the bottom of the form. Your changes are removed and the form refills with the original values. You see Food restored to default.

Delete a food

Only Studio foods have a delete button. Choose Delete and confirm. The confirmation warns that this cannot be undone. System foods cannot be deleted, edited or not. If you do not want trainees to be offered a system food, you have softer options:
  • Turn off Include as automatic alternative so it is never offered as a substitute.
  • Turn off Include in shopping recommendations so it does not show in shopping recommendations.
Both switches are in The food editor.
Before deleting a studio food, check that no plan uses it. A plan stores only a reference to the food, so a meal that points to a deleted food can no longer show its values.

Fix a food from inside a plan

When a plan uses a food with missing values, the nutrition builder flags the row and offers Complete the nutrition values in the food library. It opens the same food form without leaving the plan. Saving updates the library and the plan together.
