Live Activities are an iPhone feature. Android has no workout card. Android does show an ongoing notification for a cardio session. See Cardio and steps.
During a workout
The card appears when the workout starts and follows it set by set. It shows:- the current exercise,
- where the trainee is in it, for example Set 2/4,
- the weight and reps of the next set, for example 60kg × 10 reps, using the same suggestions the app shows in the set table,
- a Log set button.
During rest
While the rest timer runs, the card shows the countdown and what comes next:- Rest · next: set 3/4 when the next set is in the same exercise,
- Rest · next: followed by the exercise name when the next set is in a different exercise.
During a cardio session
A cardio session has its own card with the activity name, the stopwatch, Live or Paused, and the goal when there is a per-workout target. A button on the card pauses and resumes the session. When cardio runs inside a workout, the same card carries the cardio stopwatch for that workout. When the card goes away
- When the trainee finishes a workout with every exercise done, the card changes to Workout complete with a summary such as 48 min · 6 exercises, and stays for about four minutes.
- When a workout is finished with open sets, or discarded, the card is removed right away.
- A cardio card is removed when the session is saved or discarded.
Good to know
- The card uses your studio colour.
- Tapping the card opens the workout in the app. This also works when the app was closed, as long as the workout is less than six hours old.
- The trainee can turn Live Activities off for Perform in the iPhone settings. The workout itself is not affected.
