Only the owner and admins can invite.

Invite someone

1

Open the dialog

On Business settings, Team, press Invite team member. The dialog is titled Invite a team member.
2

Enter their details

  • First name and Last name
  • Job title, for example Senior coach. Optional.
  • Email
  • Phone
First name, last name, email and phone are required. Without them you see “Please fill in first name, last name, email and phone”.
3

Choose the member type

  • Team member: works within the permissions you set below.
  • Admin: has full access to the whole system, including team and permissions. There is nothing to configure.
4

Set permissions

For a team member, choose the narrow or the wide option in each of the five groups, and decide on Allow giving a discount. See Team and roles.
5

Send

Press Create the account and send the invitation. You see “Team member added”.

What the new team member gets

Perform sends a branded invitation by email with a link to sign in. There is no separate verification email. They sign in with either:
  • the email you entered, using a code sent to that email, or
  • the phone you entered, using a code sent on WhatsApp.
The first time they enter, they are asked to choose a password. After that they land in your studio with the role and permissions you set. The person appears on the Team page right away. Until they sign in for the first time, Last active reads “Has not signed in yet”.
Double check the email and the phone before you send. They are the two ways the person can get in.

If the invitation email does not arrive

The person does not need the email to get in. Ask them to open the sign-in page and use the Email or Phone tab with the details you entered. See Sign in. If the email or phone was typed wrongly, fix it with Manage permissions on their row.

Seats and your Perform plan

Every team member takes a seat, the owner included.
  • On the free plan there is one seat. Inviting anyone shows “The free plan is for one coach. Move to a paid plan to invite team members.”
  • On a paid plan the message reads “Your plan includes N team members, you included. To invite more, add a seat or upgrade.”
When you hit the limit, the dialog offers:
  • Add a seat, with the monthly price on the button. The seat is added and the invitation goes through.
  • Upgrade plan, which opens the plan picker.
If your subscription is on a previous price list, a seat is not sold on its own. The message explains that it comes with moving to the current price list. Someone who is not the owner or an admin sees “Only the studio owner or admins can change the plan. Ask them to upgrade.” On the Billing page, Plan usage shows how many seats are used and how many invited people have not signed in yet.

Inviting during setup

The last step of the setup wizard has a team card with the same fields and a role of team member or admin. Team members invited there start with the narrow option in every permission group. See Create your account.

Team members moved from AutoFit

A migration from AutoFit can bring sub-coaches over as team members. Those with an email get an email invite and appear on the Team page. Those without an email are skipped. See AutoFit migration.

Bringing back someone you removed

Add them again with the same steps. They take a seat again.
