My food preferences is where a trainee tells the app what they do not eat. Foods marked here are kept out of their menu and out of the alternatives the app offers.

Where it is

Profile tab, the My food preferences card. Its hint reads What stays out of your menu and alternatives. The same list can also appear as a question inside a form, usually the intake form. The form answer is used as the trainee’s preferences until someone saves the list directly, from this screen or from the coach side. From then on the saved list is the one in use. See Forms and check-ins.

How it works

The screen explains itself with two lines:
Foods and categories marked here are left out of your menu and its alternatives. Update any time, your coach sees the same list.
Tap a category to remove all of it; tap a single food to remove just that one.
The list shows your studio’s food library, grouped by category. Every category and every food is a tag. When a category is excluded, a hint appears: An excluded category removes every food in it. Tap a single food to keep it on the menu. Above the list:
  • Search a food… filters the tags by name. No match shows No food found by that name.
  • A summary line reads No foods excluded, 1 food excluded or the number of foods excluded.
  • Reset clears everything in one tap. It appears only when something is excluded.
There is no save button. Changes are saved about a second after the last tap, and also when the trainee leaves the screen. If saving fails the app shows Saving your preferences failed, try again. Pulling the screen down reloads the list from the server and drops any change that was not saved yet.

What changes in the menu

  • Alternatives. An excluded food is not offered when the trainee swaps a food.
  • Planned foods. When a meal in the plan contains a food the trainee excluded, the app shows a suitable replacement for that item instead, picked from the alternatives.
  • The coach’s view. It is one shared list. A save by the trainee and a save by the coach land in the same place, and the trainee’s change is added to their activity timeline on the coach side. No notification is sent to the coach.
The plan itself is not rewritten. If the trainee removes an exclusion, the original food is back.
Preferences are about what the trainee is willing to eat. They are not an allergy register. If a client has a medical restriction, build the plan around it and do not rely on this screen alone.

Empty library

If the studio food library has no foods, the screen reads The food library is empty.
