The home banner sits at the top of the trainee app’s home screen. Use it for one thing you want every trainee to notice: a new challenge, this week’s recipe, a reminder to book a call. A studio has one banner. Every trainee sees the same one. Open Content and click Home banner. When a banner is live, the page shows Live now with its title.

Choose where the banner comes from

Pick a source at the top of the form.

Custom content

  • Title. Required. Up to 120 characters.
  • Text. Optional. Up to 400 characters.
  • Photo or video. An image, an uploaded video, or a pasted video link.
  • Text alignment. Start, Center or End. It sets how the title and text sit inside the banner card.

From existing content

Click Pick content from the library, choose an item and confirm. Use Replace content to switch to a different one.
  • External link items are not offered.
  • Items hidden from the app can be picked. The picker says so: Items hidden from the app can still be used for the banner. This is useful for a banner-only item you do not want sitting in the library.
  • The banner follows the item. If you later change the item’s title or image, the banner changes too.
If the library item behind the banner is deleted, the banner stops showing in the app. Pick another item or switch to Custom content.
For a custom banner you can add:
  • An image, up to 25 MB, in PNG, JPEG, WebP or GIF.
  • A video you upload, up to 99 MB, in MP4, MOV or WebM.
  • A video link, such as YouTube.

Videos show as a still image

The banner card itself never plays video. It shows a still image, and the video plays when the trainee taps the button. For an uploaded video, a frame is taken from the video for you. You can take it again or upload your own image. The hint reads The banner in the app shows a still image, so this is what trainees will see of the video. If a video has no still image at all, the banner shows as a text-only card. The video can still be played from the button.

The action button

Under Action button (CTA), choose Button on or Button off. With the button off, the banner is shown without an action button. With the button on, set:
  • Button text. Up to 40 characters. Leave it empty to use the default for the target.
  • Color. Brand color, White, Green, Yellow or Glass.
  • Icon. No icon, Play, Instagram, WhatsApp, Facebook, Cart, Article, Recipe, Dumbbell or Fitness.
  • Button target, where the tap leads.

Button targets

Details for each: Open content. Pick the library item to open. On a custom banner that has its own video, you can skip the item, and the button then plays the banner’s video inside the app. If you do pick an item, the item wins and the button opens it. Message the coach. The chat goes to the studio WhatsApp number set in Business settings. If the studio has no number yet, trainees reach their assigned coach instead, and the button is hidden for a trainee whose coach has no number. External link. Link address is required. If you leave out “https://”, it is added for you.

Preview

The App preview shows the home screen as a trainee sees it. Turn on Simulate a form waiting to be filled to check how the banner looks when a trainee has a form waiting.
A form waiting to be filled appears above the banner, so trainees can act on it right away. The banner stays visible underneath.
The preview also tells you why nothing is showing: Add a title to see the banner, Pick content to see the banner, or The banner is off and not shown to trainees.

Publish the banner

Two things control whether trainees see the banner.
  1. Show the banner in the app. When this switch is off, the banner is saved but not shown to trainees.
  2. Save. Nothing changes for trainees until you click Save.

Turn it on

Switch on Show the banner in the app.

Save

Click Save. You see Banner saved.
Publishing updates every trainee right away. There is no schedule and no approval step. While you have changes that are not saved, the page shows You have unsaved changes. If you try to leave, you are asked whether to save first.

Take the banner down

Switch off Show the banner in the app and click Save. The banner is kept as you left it, ready to switch back on.

When the banner does not show

Check these in order:
  1. Show the banner in the app is on, and you clicked Save after turning it on.
  2. A custom banner has a title.
  3. A banner from existing content still has its library item, and that item has a title.
If the button is missing but the banner shows:
  • Open content has no item picked and the banner has no playable video.
  • External link has no address.
  • Message the coach has no studio number and that trainee’s coach has no number.
Back to content library returns you to the Content screen.
