Open a trainee’s nutrition tracking
1
Open the trainee
Open the trainee from Clients. The Summary tab shows tracking cards.
2
Open nutrition
Choose the Nutrition logging card. The Nutrition tracking view opens.
3
Pick a range
Choose 7 days, 30 days or 3 months.
The numbers at the top
Each card compares with the previous period, for example “vs last week”.
The adherence chart
The chart has one column per day.- Each column shows what was eaten, split by macro.
- The shadow behind a column is that day’s target.
- Hover a column for exact values, including calories.
The meal log
The Meal log lists the days in the range. Click a day to see what was logged. Each day carries a status:
Inside a day, meals are grouped as Breakfast, Lunch, Dinner and Snack, with the foods and their values. A day with nothing in it reads No foods logged this day.
A long range starts collapsed. Choose Show the whole range to expand it and Show less to fold it again.
Meal photos
When a trainee attached a photo to a meal, a thumbnail appears on that meal. Click it to open the full photo in a new tab. Photos come from meals the trainee logged by taking a picture. See the next section. How trainees log
It helps to know what the trainee did to produce each entry.
Trainees can edit today and yesterday. Older days are read only for them.
AI meal analysis, from the trainee’s side
When a trainee logs with a photo or a description, the app works out what is on the plate.1
The trainee sends a photo or text
The app shows Analyzing… while it works.
2
Your food library is checked first
Each food in the meal is matched against your studio’s food library, system foods and your own. A matched food uses your library’s values for the amount on the plate, including your studio’s edits to system foods.
3
Missing foods are looked up
A food that is not in your library is looked up online. Values that are not plausible are thrown out.
4
A fallback estimate
If the lookup finds nothing usable, the app keeps its own estimate for that food. A failed lookup never fails the whole analysis.
5
The trainee confirms
The trainee sees the result and logs the meal.
What this means for you
- A complete, accurate food library makes trainee logs more accurate, because library values are used before anything else.
- An analyzed meal is an estimate of amounts from a photo or a sentence. Treat it as a good indication, not a weighed measurement.
- If a trainee’s logged values look off for a food you have in the library, check that food’s values and serving setup.
Plans without tracking
A trainee on a PDF or link nutrition plan has no planned meals for the app to compare against. The view shows This data is not collected from the trainee because they use a file plan. See PDF and link plans.Tips
- Start with Logged days. Adherence numbers mean little when only two days of the week were logged.
- Open the days marked Over and look at the meals and photos before the next check-in. It gives you something specific to talk about.
- Use the 30 day range to spot patterns, such as weekends, and the 7 day range for the weekly check-in.
