The sign-in page is titled Welcome back. A switch at the top lets you choose how to sign in. Phone is selected when the page opens.

Ways to sign in

  1. Enter your Phone number and press Send code.
  2. Perform sends a 6-digit code to that number on WhatsApp.
  3. Type the code and press Verify.
If your number is not Israeli, tick I have a non-Israeli number and pick your country.If no account uses the number, the page says so and switches you to the Email tab. Sign in with your email, then add your phone under Account settings. See Account settings.

About the codes

  • A code has 6 digits.
  • A code is valid for 5 minutes. After that you see “The code has expired. Please request a new one.”
  • You get 3 attempts per code. After that you see “Too many attempts. Please request a new code.”
  • Press Send a new code to get another one. Press Back to change the number or email.

Two-factor authentication

If you turned on two-factor authentication, a second screen titled Verify your account appears after you sign in. Enter the One-time password from your authenticator app and press Verify. To turn it on or off, see Account settings.

Forgot your password

Open the reset page

On the Password tab press Forgot password?.

Ask for the link

Enter your Email and press Send link. The page answers “If an account exists for that email, we’ve sent a link to reset your password.”

Set the new password

Open the link in the email. On Reset your password, enter a New password and press Reset password.
You do not need a password at all. A phone code or an email code signs you in just the same.

Staying signed in

A session lasts 30 days. You can see every device that is signed in and sign any of them out under Account settings, Security, Active sessions.

Sign out

Open your user menu at the bottom of the sidebar and press Logout.
