Turn the requirement on
Use the switch on the panel header. With the switch off the panel reads Off. No cardio or step goal in this program. and the trainee gets no cardio or steps goal from this program. When it is on, the header shows a one-line summary of what the trainee owes, for example “30 minutes Per workout + 8,000 steps per day”.Choose what the trainee owes
Under Requirement, pick one of four options.
A new program starts on Both, with the switch off.
Switching options never erases what you typed. If you set a cardio goal, switch to Steps only and later switch back, your cardio numbers are still there. A hidden goal is not required from the trainee while it is hidden.
Cardio goal
The Cardio goal block appears when the option includes cardio.Target scope
Target
Type the minutes under Target. The default is 30. The note under the block shows the weekly total and where it comes from:- With Per workout, the weekly total is the target times the program’s Workouts per week. 30 minutes with 3 workouts gives 90 minutes a week.
- With Weekly, each training day asks for its share: the weekly target divided by Workouts per week, rounded to a whole minute. 90 minutes a week with 3 workouts shows 30 minutes on each day.
Approved activities
Choose which activities count: Walking, Running, Stairs (stepper) and Cycling. You can pick several. Leave all of them unselected and any activity counts. The note then reads The trainee picks any cardio activity.Adjust one day
The field labeled “Adjust for” followed by the day’s name overrides the program target for the training day you have open. It applies to this day only. Leave it empty to use the program target. Use it when one day should carry more or less cardio, for example a longer session on a leg-free day.Daily steps goal
The Daily steps goal block appears when the option includes steps.- Type the number of steps under Daily target. The default is 8,000.
- The note shows the weekly total, which is the daily target times 7.
- The count comes from the trainee’s phone or watch. The trainee does not type steps in by hand.
Adjust one day
With Both, with compensation selected, the steps block also gets an “Adjust for” field for the open training day. It overrides the program’s daily target for that day only. How compensation works
With Both, with compensation:- The day counts as done as soon as one goal is fully reached.
- Partial progress on both does not add up. Half the cardio plus half the steps is not a finished day.
What the trainee sees
- A cardio card on the workout day with the minutes target and the approved activities. The builder’s app preview shows the same card.
- A steps goal in the app, tracked from their device’s health data.
- If the program does not set a steps goal, the steps goal saved on the trainee is used, when there is one.
