Where trainees see it
- The floating WhatsApp button on the home screen.
- The contact button on the home banner.
- The contact button on the screen a trainee sees when their subscription is paused or has ended and app access is off.
Set the number
1
Enter the number
Type it in Contact number, for example
050 000 0000.2
Save
Press Save. You see “WhatsApp number saved”. An invalid number shows “Enter a valid phone number”.
Leave it empty to use each coach’s own phone
Clear the field and save. Each trainee then reaches the phone of the coach assigned to them. This is the phone entered for the coach on the Team page. If the trainee’s coach has no phone, the buttons stay hidden for that trainee.Which number a trainee gets
Perform decides in this order:- The studio’s Contact number, if one is set.
- Otherwise, the phone of the trainee’s assigned coach.
- Otherwise, no number. The buttons are hidden.
Switch the WhatsApp buttons off
Turn the WhatsApp for trainees switch to Disabled. You see “Setting saved” and the note “WhatsApp is off, so the home screen buttons are hidden from trainees.” What this changes:
The contact button shown while a subscription is paused always stays. A locked-out trainee has no other way in the app to ask how to come back, so Perform keeps that one whatever the switch says.
The switch is on for every studio until you turn it off.
Which setup to choose
- One front desk. Set a studio number. All messages land in one place.
- Each coach handles their own trainees. Leave the number empty and make sure every coach has a phone on the Team page and every trainee has a coach.
- You do not want WhatsApp from the home screen. Turn the switch off. Paused trainees can still reach you.
Check your setup
- Every coach who has trainees has a phone number on the Team page.
- No trainees are left without a coach. Filter the trainee board by No coach. See Assigning coaches.
