The phone number is the trainee’s key to the app. They sign in with it and receive a code on WhatsApp. A wrong number means the trainee cannot get in.

Enter an Israeli number

Type the number as you normally would, for example 050 000 0000. Spaces and dashes are fine. Perform removes them when it saves.

Enter a non-Israeli number

1

Tick the box

Under the phone field, tick I have a non-Israeli number.
2

Pick the country

A Country picker appears. Use Search country to find it. If nothing matches you see “No country found”.
3

Type the number

Enter the number without the country code. The picker adds it.
The same phone field appears where you add a trainee, invite a team member and sign in.

How Perform stores a number

Perform keeps every number in one standard form, so the same trainee is always found. In short: an Israeli number is stored with its leading zero and no country code. A foreign number keeps its + and country code.

Search by phone

Type at least three digits in the board’s search box. You do not have to match the format. Spaces, dashes and a leading zero or country code do not get in the way.

Change a trainee’s number

Select the trainee, press Edit in the card header, change Phone number and press Save changes.
From that moment the trainee signs in with the new number. Tell them before you change it.

Where the number is used

  • Signing in to the app. The trainee enters the number and gets a WhatsApp code.
  • The WhatsApp invitation. Sent to this number when you tick the invitation box while adding the trainee.
  • SmartSend. The Open in SmartSend button and the SmartSend tab find the trainee’s conversation by this number.
  • Mailing lists. Trainees with no phone number are skipped when you create a SmartSend mailing list from the board.

A coach’s phone number

A team member’s phone, entered when you invite them, is used in two ways:
  • They can sign in with it and a WhatsApp code.
  • If the studio has no contact WhatsApp number, trainees assigned to that coach reach them on this number from the app. See Contact WhatsApp number.

Troubleshooting

Check the number on the card. Look for a missing digit or a foreign number saved without its country. Fix it with Edit and ask the trainee to try again.
Edit the trainee, tick I have a non-Israeli number, pick the country and enter the new number.
Type at least three digits. If the number was entered wrongly in the first place, search by name and correct it.
